ski for yourself

When I uploaded the videos below to YouTube, I chose “sports” as the category. I think you’ll agree with me that that’s a little optimistic.

1. Here’s me, trying to make a mountain out of a molehill:

2. I think I’m posing for a still photo:

3. AK gets her cross-country on:

4. AK carefully, carefully prepares herself to go downhill:

5. Check out AK’s Olympically intense concentration. This is what it takes to be an athlete, folks:

Are you sure you didn't mean "What speed? What grace?"?

OK - these totally made me smile. As someone who has never been on skis, this looks to be my kind of skiing.

Loved the dramatic narration! :)

I told Vivian that I went downhill skiing and she said she'd never been. I was like, "What?! But you're from such cold places!" She said, "Yep. Cold and flat." I was like, "Oh. Right."
9.8 from the Burbank judge. .2 off for self-referential narration.

Sigh...everyone knows the Burbank judge is the toughest, next to the Ukranian judge.
You were brave to go down the hill without a helmet! Guess you would not want to look like a geek/nerd, right?

I remember the first time I went on skiing at South Lake Tahoe. Going on a ski was not a problem for me. But I was always stopped by the chair lift operator because I usually ended up being under the chair lift at every time I've tried to get off the chair fast enough. (It is alright to laugh at me.) So, I ended up having someone pushing me out of the chair lift.

my favorite is when ak asks, 'what are you doing?' and cheryl goes, 'i'm narrating'. how many times have i said that before?

L: The chairlift is definitely the scariest part, especially if you're not fond of heights (which I'm not).

V: Some things just call for narration, and some of us have a tendency to narrate. Words make life better!
